Start young
It is easier to train a kitten than an adult cat. Take advantage of their natural curiosity and desire to learn from a young age.
Use positive reinforcement
Reward good behavior with treats, cuddles or games. Cats respond well to rewards and are more likely to repeat actions that bring them pleasure.
Be patient and consistent
Consistency is key. Use the same commands and gestures to avoid confusing your cat. Be patient, as training can take time.
Keep sessions short and frequent
Cats have a short attention span. Choose training sessions of 5 to 10 minutes several times a day rather than long sessions.
