Getting your cat used to the car
Before the trip, get your cat used to the car by letting him explore the interior while stationary. Take short trips so he gets used to the movements.
Use a comfortable transport box
Choose a spacious and well-ventilated transport box. Add a familiar blanket or toy to reassure him. The crate must be secured to prevent it from moving during travel.
Prepare regular stops
Plan regular stops so your cat can drink water and use the litter box. These breaks help reduce stress and discomfort during the trip.
Use soothing pheromones
Pheromone sprays or diffusers can help calm your cat during travel. Apply them in the transport crate or on a blanket before departure.
